Beginning Darkroom for Teens

Come experience the magic of creating your own black and white photographs in a traditional darkroom. This beginner-level class includes instruction and practice on a film camera, film developing, and printing the resulting negatives. Digital Photography with an iPhone

The class will visit the Village of Glen Echo and Sumner Village Shopping Center to practice their skills. Plastic lens cameras can be loaned. $50 materials fee for film and photo paper. Intro to Black and White Film & Darkroom Printing

This intermediate class is for students with prior film experience using 35mm cameras. Beginning of the week will be an introduction to the darkroom skills and procedures. After exploring Glen Echo Park thru the lens and practicing film and printing skills in Photoworks darkroom, each student will choose and define specific content of their choice for a set of 5-7 images.
