We are a group of photographers who gather at Photoworks at Glen Echo Park to explore historic photo processes together, including but not limited to: cyanotype, salted paper, platinum/palladium and wet plate collodian. Sometimes we print; sometimes we chat and share ideas. Always we support and learn from each other.

Immerse yourself in an afternoon of creativity with Mari Calai, our esteemed artist in residence at Photoworks. Begin with a sound bath performance, where Mari will play ancient instruments, then delve into the fascinating world of Photograms, where you will learn to create images on light-sensitive paper without a camera.

Photoworks is delighted to host the work of acclaimed photojournalist and historian, Marvin Tupper Jones, in the exhibition, Building a Mixed Race Community.
The history covered in this exhibit spans from 1851 to 1973 and takes the viewer from the antebellum time through the Civil War, Reconstruction, Jim Crow and the modern Civil Rights eras.

Tico, a founding member of Photoworks, who taught advanced photography and printing at Glen Echo for more than 45 years, exerted a profound influence on the many photography students and practitioners who studied with him over the course of his tenure. His mastery of portrait and landscape genres and his unflagging humor will be featured along with the work of his former students.
