Ernesto Bazan’s Cuban Trilogy reflects fourteen years of work in Cuba (1992-2006), many of them while he lived there with his Cuban-born wife and two children.  The photographs reflect the “special period” in Cuba.  Bazan Cuba focuses on the artist’s black and white work.  Al Campo represents a break for Bazan and is based on his color work from the rural areas of the island.  Isla is made up of black and white panoramic photographs.  Recognized in the company of Eugene Atget, Sally Mann, and Mary Ellen Mark by Fancy Girl Street Boy Productions as one of the all-time great photographers, Bazan’s books are available only on a limited basis and will become collector’s items.
